⫻ features
What it does
01
Any interval you need
Pick a preset from 5 seconds to 1 hour, or type your own interval anywhere from 2 seconds to 24 hours. The interval and options you used last are ready the next time you open it.
02
A countdown on the icon
While a tab runs, the toolbar icon counts down to its next reload. The badge belongs to that tab, so switching tabs shows each one's own countdown.
03
Any number of tabs, in one list
Start a timer on as many tabs as you like, each with its own interval and options. The popup lists every running tab by its title, with a Stop on each and Stop all. There is no tab limit and no upgrade to remove one.
04
Stop after a number of reloads
Set how many reloads a tab gets, or leave it blank for no limit. The running list shows how far along each tab is, and the timer stops by itself at the last one.
05
Vary the interval, or reload hard
Vary the interval runs each cycle up to 25% shorter or longer than the one you set, so the reloads do not land on a fixed beat. Bypass the cache fetches the page fresh every time, the same as a hard reload.
06
It keeps the tab awake
While a timer runs, the browser's memory saver leaves that tab loaded, so it keeps reloading in the background. Stopping the timer gives the tab back to the browser's usual rules.
⫻ how-to
How to use it
01
Install it
Add it from your browser's store. It asks for no site access, so it cannot read your pages or see where you browse.
02
Open the tab you want to reload
Go to the tab, then click the extension's icon. The popup opens on that tab.
03
Pick an interval
Choose a preset, or enter a custom interval between 2 seconds and 24 hours.
04
Choose the options
Turn on Vary the interval to change each cycle by up to 25%, and Bypass the cache for a hard reload. To stop after a set number of reloads, enter it; leave it blank to run until you stop it.
05
Press Start
The tab reloads on time until you stop it or it reaches its last reload, and the icon counts down to the next one. Start more tabs the same way.
06
Stop when you are done
Open the popup on any tab and press Stop beside a running tab, or Stop all. Closing a tab stops its timer by itself.
